Singapore Blog Awards 2012

This is the third time Sengkang Babies are participating in Omy’s Singapore Blog Awards. The kids have grown along the way, we get to know more friends online and offline, and some have become kakis !

Friends (big and small ones) will always meet and catchup at events, to share fun places, even blogging and photography tips.

Sengkang Babies got some new features in 2012 :
– we started a Fanpage to share more photos.
– we got a little more chatty on Twitter and even dabble with pInterest.
SengkangBabies.com got our own domain now

Some things have not changed. The number of Daddy bloggers are still so few. Let Daddy highlight a few old/new Dads who are regulars online. Daddy bloggers motivate SengkangBabies to blog better and share more šŸ™‚

Do not be surprised if you see Sengkang Babies appearing in non-Family categories :p

Parenting bloggers normally bring up the fun and happy moments, but believe us, looking after the kids is never easy. We may make it look easy, maybe because we are so use and numb to handling our kiddos by now haha :p

Visit our previous year experiences in 2010 and 2011.
We would like to thanks our friends (Xin Yun and Rui Ting) for nominating us, much appreciated šŸ™‚

Kids are still teaching us adults to learn and appreciate simple things everyday !
If not for the kids, Daddy would not have discover photography and blogging.
Remember SengkangBabies, remember our motto “We bring you fun !

Port of Lost Wonder at Sentosa

Splashing FUN ! Can Boon Xin tell us where is this new water playground?

Port of Lost Wonder (POLW) is Sentosa’s latest kids playground, located at Palawan beach. The central piece Pirate ship shouts “Captain Sparrow” !

Thanks to the overcast horizon, and occasional thunder we can only wait and reflect on how much FUN we are missing..

If the sun is out, kids will be able to do some plantation or foam party ! Just like our very own Sentosa Zoukout. First time visitors should have an orientation here.
We forgot to mention Parents enter for Free Yeah !

Rain Rain go Away, the Gloomy sky threatens to wipe out the kids’ smiles and anticipation..

At 3pm, we huddle into a tent to watch some talented macaws raise the flag šŸ™‚

We even had an opportunity to hand feed the adorable birds.

At about 4:50pm, the all-clear AHOY was blown, every kid dashed into the pool ! What a spectacular sight.

One by one, water start splashing from every nook and pipe ! Super Cool !

From here onwards, parents only see smiles and hear shouts of joy !

The pirate ship is adult friendly too, and we are so glad many parents join in the Fun ! Maybe adults got a childhood dream to be Captain Hook?

While you are enjoying yourself, listen out for the bell and exchange your curio coins for souvenirs or snacks!

.. so many colourful slides from the ship’s deck, that is Wen Yi climbing for the 50th time keke

Wen Xin is more interested in a orange ball? Watch the video to see how she like to splash her buttocks !

POLW – where both Kids and Adults can have quality family Fun time !

We will definitely be back, we looted four packets of coins home šŸ™‚

Entry fee for Port of Lost Wonder..

Thank you to Sentosa for the invite, SengkangBabies find POLW irreistable, and we will recommend this playground to friends. Say A-H-O-Y to more photos at our Fanpage album.

Crowne Plaza Easter brunch invitation

[sponsored event]

Last week, we were invited to sample Crowne Plaza‘s Easter brunch at Azur restaurant. Everytime we pass by Crowne Plaza, we will mention to the kids that it is the nearest hotel to Changi airport.

Above photo, besides the Easter eggs (both hidden and those in the menu), free flow of balloons šŸ™‚

Besides the impressive see-through facade exterior, Crowne Plaza’s interior has a lot of natural sunlight flowing in through their glass panels. Kids love the see through rooftop !

The award winning Azur restaurant serves both Western and Eastern cuisines. Kids love the open-style concept kitchen.

Daddy suspects they kept returning to the dessert section !

Bird’s egg, this is also consider Easter egg right.. Yummy.

Great variety of Seafood delights !

We lost count of how many Cheese cakes our four little mice consumed …

When kids are happy, parents are happy. The menu at Azur will ensure your kids are well fed.

We hop over the Bar’75 to continue our Easter programme, but alas, we miss it due to our late appointment. The other kids were fabulous hunters !

Our friendly makeup artists dress our kids up as little Bunnies šŸ™‚

Who need Tiger and Heineken to make Merry, when we have eggs, makeups and tattoos ! Someone (hint the-one-who-is-not-tall-enough) attempted billiard too !

Meanwhile, Carrie kept Boon Xin busy, or is it the other way round?

Wei and Yi showing off their tattoos, what will discipline master do when he spot Wei’s forearm ang(1)kong(1) (painted pieces). The kids kept showing off their insect imprints to each other.

For those planning a staycation at Crowne Plaza hotel, Daddy is sure your kids will find the pool refreshing. Kids can swim in the maze like “boxes”, and hey, you might even spot aeroplanes over the horizon !

We would like to take this opportunity to thanks Crowne Plaza Hotel for extending the brunch invite to Sengkang Babies, although we came late, we enjoyed ourselves šŸ™‚

You can pop by Azur website for brunch menu and pricing.
Do pop by our Fanpage album for more photos.
– We apologised for the lack of food photos, as we were busy serving our hungry kids, but do hop over to Klessis and Isaiah‘s epic food portions ( salivate !)
