At Marina Bay Sands Infinity pool, what did Boon Yi do to make Daddy so angry again? Daddy also threw him in Malacca’s pool ! Read on to find out why we are hanging out at Marina Bay area again.
Click on video for a preview of SengkangBabies’ Water FUN !
Some of the icons spotted in and around MBS, including our Merlion friend.
Actually, we had pop by Jiu Jiu’s Marina Bay Sands (MBS) staycation last month. When Daddy told the kids that we can swim in the world’s tallest swimming pool, kids agree to behave immediately 🙂
Daddy brought Kang up to skypark for a sneak peek first. The weather is HOT, and we can already imagine ourselves soaking in the pool !
Skypark is really lush with greenery. Hello, this is a roof, but it is also an oasis, and not your usual concrete and mortar. So NICE !
Everyone must pose next to the “edge” when you up in MBS’s infinity pool :p
Although there is a safety gap beyond the wall, we would advise parents to ensure active kids do not try to scale the wall. There are also lifeguards on duty.
There is a wading pool for the younger ones
Needless to say, Yi and Xin truly are water babies too.
We went on a weekday, and it was already quite crowded. It will be hard to imagine how crowded the pool will be on a weekend. Forget about doing your laps 🙂
From the front, you can view Singapore’s Central Business district..
On the other side, we can catch the paranomic Gardens by the Bay. We did a short introduction about 29th Jun’s opening yesterday. This garden will be a nice picnic spot for families 🙂
SengkangBabies sent the whole contingent down to Cold Storage Kid’s Run last month. Thanks to Marina Bay for the sponsorship 🙂
We arrive early and went under the checkpoint. Daddy told kids to pose like winners 🙂
We know it will be crowded later.
Heng family (BPDG) and Tan Family joined us to run around the Padang today Yeah !
The participants today are not only the young ones. Daddy will run with Kang and Yi, and even Mummy will tag team with Boon Xin.
Before the race, Mascots are roaming around to warm the kids up.
Boon Wee and Denver’s age group will get to go first, but they are in different groups.
Batch by batch, the kids Dash down the road when the airhorn is Blasted. This is 1600m category, kids are supposed to pace themselves ooops.
Parents are always eager to see how their kids perform, as they try to identify their little darlings among the crowd.
Wei and Denver have to clear 1,600M each. So Proud of them 🙂
Wei’s result :p
In life, there will always be ups and downs. We only wish our kids will pick themselves up after each fall, and learn from their mistakes.
A lot of parent bloggers were here this morning, but we only bump into Edmund and Sakura.
Daddy accompanied Kang on his 800M jog. Kang is happy to complete his circuit, and got rewarded with a medal 🙂
Yi joined Chloe and Gladys in the next category. That meant another 800M for Daddy.
Yi gets to climb higher for a better view (thanks to Phoebe for the photo)
Did you know that cheerleaders (in this case, HelloStrangers) will be cheering your kids. It helps when Daddy is also struggling to keep pace too keke 🙂
Finally, Xin participates in toddler’s category (they are not the smallest, there is even a Stroller category !!)
Daddy wonder whether Xin can run or not? She covered a whole 200m (out of 800m), before asking for and Mummy “hug hug”! Maybe 200M is considered impressive for her small legs :p
Running around the Padang provide good eye-candy for the kids. Maybe, it can help them to run faster. We enjoyed ourselves throughly, and the kids get to catchup with their buddies again.
That evening, everyone gets to show off their achievements and medals.
We would like to thanks Marina Bay for inviting us to the run 🙂
For more fun running photos, do pop by SengkangBabies album.
Flag off at 0830… Whether you are here for some family leisure, or competition, we have the same start line.
Thanks to Jay for taking a snap of our rides in motion 🙂
It does not matter your bikes/blades got 2,3,4 or even 8 wheels. We are here for FUN.
Water parade at 3KM mark. Daddy’s pedal has dropped off along the way.
..otherwise Daddy’s camera only capture some tired faces, but the smile and cheerful grin is always evident. Ample runway for us to ride comfortably.
Look at our first photo, we can even U-turn right in the centre to pose :p
Video (Link) – Besides cycling, there are a whole suite of entertainment and challenges to cater to the family. The hangars have been converted into hugh “playgrounds”.
We dashed for the Segway section. Kids got some practice rounds at Sentosa before (too expensive and too short route !) RSAF provided free Segway orientation and 5 min ride Yeah !
What can you do if you kids are interested to sign up with Singapore Air Force?
Dress like a pilot, with helmet to go. It helps if the Daddy can dig out his vintage TopGun Vcd, featuring Tom Cruise to debrief the kids afterwards.
.. or get them hook on a fighter console. Dog fight is not easy.
In worse case, start with Paper aeroplanes, to get your kids interested in flying.
Some other activities include hockey, wrestling, and even a small bounching-castle obstacle course.
IPPT parent-child tag team should be interesting. We did shuttle run, chin-up and even situps. Daddy told us he could do >15 chinups last time, but we saw him struggle with 3 ??
On Father’s day, this is a personal achievement for Daddy. He has trained both Wei and Kang to survive a 6km ride. We can only have more fun from now onwards.
