Sakura Blossom Bliss at Gardens by the Bay

White, Pink, Red, Yellow, these Sakura Blossom all look stunning ๐Ÿ™‚
Gardens By The Bay’s latest campaign Blossom Bliss has brought Sakuras (ๆจฑ่Šฑ) to humid Singapore!

Sakuras in Full Bloom, but do hurry as the flowers will wilt away by 24th Mar.
Blossom Bliss

No bad shots. Just aim in any direction, capture some bokeh effect and the Sakuras just pop! I would recommend morning Sun for the dreamy effect.

The bokeh effect, either front or back seems to pull us into the beautiful Sakura domain.

Go low and shoot skyward with the dome (and blue sky overhead) for that dreamy effect (sun rays). Personally, I would recommend viewing the Sakuras in the day rather than night.

Everyone is eager to snap a Sakura memory, it would be a challenge to avoid photo bombers ๐Ÿ™‚

Take a Sakura shot with the Japanese style bridge or pavilion, or even cosplayer, it does add another dimension of “Feel”.

Gardens by The Bay’s (GBTB) Sakura Blossom Bliss is unique and sensational in an unique way because so many variety of Sakuras have been brought under one roof (I meant Dome). Although we cannot Hanami (picnic under the blooms), the picturesque landscape does make our hearts flutter and camera clicks.

This pink variety does looks a bit like Chrysanthemum.

I got one recommendation for GBTB, do introduce some man-made breeze, let the Sakura branches sway and petals fall. It would be such a romantic sight.

Even the buds look so pretty.

Do book your tickets online to avoid the crowds, and be prepared for long queues at carparks, and entry to Flower Dome. More updates about Sakura Blossom Bliss can be found on Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) Website, Facebook and Instagram.

Flower Dome Chinese New Year with Goats

Goats have invaded Flower Dome Chinese New Year!

The rock foundations at Gardens by the Bay seem to have crystallized overnight! Scenic backdrop, family photos will have a bit of Chinese portrait feeling (literally).

Wait till you go down to the valley (Flower Bed), herds of goats are happily munching on the flowers, while others are rock climbing. ๆ ฉๆ ฉๅฆ‚็”Ÿ! And they are not shy of guests too!

Boon Wee found his own goat ๐Ÿ™‚

Gardens by the Bay’s 2015 Chinese New Year theme is “Asian Tales”, and this is the year of the goat(็พŠ).

KumQuat, auspicious couplets add to the festive landscape. Couplets with auspicious idioms were spotted at every corner.

With so many flowers and goats, families were all beaming and soaking in the festive atmosphere, ๅ–œๆฐ”ๆด‹ๆด‹!

You might not believe it but everyone in SengkangBabies owns an unique animal. We got Tiger, Rat, Goat, Chicken, Pig and Cow in our home!

No wonder so noisy.

Flowers are in full bloom. Chrysanthemums, Dahlia, Pussy willows and Orchids. There is Cherry blossom too Wow! (has not bloomed yet).

The bright orange yellow pink and red petals really add bountiful and rich colours to the Chinese New Year mood.

Pretty blooms, so colourful and vibrant!

My favourite flower, Dahlia Rural Leah (tounge twisting name)

Playing with Goats, the crazy siblings wanted the goats to kick their butts!

Our colourful outfits added to the photo vibrancy and richness ! The goats really make everyone meh smile ๐Ÿ™‚

While Boon Wee is contented with his pet goat, Boon Xin was more pragmatic and tried to smuggle a gold ingot home.

To quote from GBTB โ€œAsian Talesโ€ is the first of six chapters as Gardens by the Bay embarks on a storytelling journey in 2015. This enchanting series of floral displays for the year will draw visitors into the magical world of folklore, legends, fairy tales and nursery rhymes as told through the language of plants.”
