Rock climbing is Tiring but so much FUN!

Rock climbing is not only about strength, it is about body-coordination. You need to look forward and plan your next grip. Ensure three points on the wall at any one time to avoid losing your balance. Does it sounds like growing up in society and facing our own life challenges?

Kang ascending the peak in style ! Our peak belongs to The Rock School at Bedok CC.

While goggling “Rock climbing”, Daddy came across a new term “free soloing”. Let Alex Honnold show you what is No-Sweat !! No gear, no rope, only mind powder and sheer belief !

Quoting from the Rock-team :

We believe that, in a safe and fun environment as well as with the right guidance,
kids and youths could easily reap the benefits of rock-climbing. This includes bringing up their general fitness level and, more importantly, building up their character as they
overcome challenges conquering a wall several times their height.
What’s more, with our free parent-child climbs, kids and their parents may strengthen both bodies and family at the same time too !

Climbing in a single file, that’s what they do at K2 summit too !

Our coach play “Shark’ with us, and jokes with us, to calm us down. Not many people climb walls before, and kids come with mixed expectations. Eager, excited and nervous.

After a few warm-up rounds, they now feel confident. Even the new obstacles (like hoola hoops) cannot deter kids’ enthusiasm.

Warning, jumping is not endorsed by Rock School, Daddy has to remind Kang not to jump too frequently !

Different colour codings to indicate the level of difficulty.

If you are confident, buckle up your harness. We are going for the real deal !

No uTurn. Kids face up to a 7m tall wall, conquer your fears keke.

One more round of safety briefing, when it comes to safety, Rock School takes nothing for granted.

And off they go. Climbing can be physically strenuous, but do not forget to have fun ! Yes, even when you fall and dangles in mid-air, remember to smile for Daddy’s camera :p

Actually, Daddy does not mind cliff-hanging with the kids. Kids will complain tired, “can I come down now?”, but when they reach the peak, their smiles say it all !

I DID IT !!

Did you know the most difficult task is coming down? Kids need to let go of their HANDS and let the coach glide/walk them down the cliff. Not easy 🙂

Anyway, Kids get a stamp for each conquered peak. They challenge each other to reach the top.

Punishing Fun Rock climbing is now available at Bedok CC.
Looking at the Tall Rock wall, parents would find it challenging too !
Kudos to kids for forging a path ahead, and conquering their own fear.

We are all certified little spideys ! Special thanks to the Rock School for hosting us, the kids did not want to leave after classes. As usual, you can pop by our Fanpage for more climbing actions.

We recommend that you pop by Mummy Angeline‘s blog to see how her two boys cope 🙂

On 21.22 July, a big Rock awaits families at Bedok CC. Rock climbing is not for boys only, the fastest climber was an Indian gal 🙂 You can register at http://therockschool.sg/trcc/ now.

Hokey Pokey Fun !

[Review]

When Yi plays with such glee, you know something is happening for the kids. We were invited to Suntec City’s new playground, Hokey Pokey.

Just look at this cool castle. Daddy had dream of his own castle since young, now the kids get to live in their own fort !

To quote from the five mummies/owners of Hokey Pokey :
an educational and fun haven where mommies and daddies can bring their little kiddos to with a peace of mind. Safety and hygiene is our utmost concern and they will never be compromised. After all, we, ourselves are our biggest critic.

Follow Boon Xin as she shows you how to have FUN !

..oops.. she decided to go for a makeover first. The dressing table proves too irresistible for little gals. (Daddy is curious why Xin knows how to apply lipstick ?)

Yi decides to show his metrosexual side but he could not find the ingredients. Maybe Hokey Pokey management can prepare some chef’s hat for the kids 🙂

Look at how they roll up and down the slope. If no one is looking,
Daddy is tempted to try this too….

Cars, Bikes, Lorries and fire engines will cater to the kids’ adrenalin.

Kids can indulge in some jamming session at another corner. Xin loves the little piano.

Anyone interested to be sim-city mayor? or take a helicopter ride, let kiddos’ imagination roam.

Yi and Xin also got an opportunity to create a cute ducky photo frame too. Both of them were so enthusiastic and proud about pasting their own design pieces 🙂

While they are getting busy, Daddy pop around to explore Hokey Pokey, which is like a Toys’ supermarket !

Kids will be thrilled if Mummy say she is going to abandon them for 2 to 3 hours keke.

Do you know which is the kids’ favourite section ?

As long as kids are having fun (and safe), Daddy does not mind how they slide down ! (maybe Mummies will disagree haha)

We has so much fun, playing hamtum-bola (ball whacking)..

.. and someone taught Xin levitation :p

Who brought out the bubbles ! Everyone scramble to the front for some bubble Fun 🙂

Time flies, when kids are having fun. We can easily spend fours hours at Hokey Pokey.

Daddy is sure Wacky Duo will agree with us, do pop by their review 🙂

Although Kazae invited us to the party, he was denied entry into the castle keke.

Wholesome Fun (for kids under six)

Hokey Pokey only got one BIG problem, Kids do not want to go home haha !!

We would like to thanks Hokey Pokey and Marina Bay (Kazae) for the invite, we sure had fun running around and playing with all the toys.
For more Hokey Pokey fun photos, do pop by our fanpage.

We will recommend that you contact Hokey Pokey before going down,
just in case there is an event.
