Celebration of Chrysanthemums at Gardens by the Bay

Not all Chrysanthemums (菊花) are yellow. Go on, take a whiff, it actually smells refreshing.

Gardens by the Bay’s Celebration of Chrysanthemums runs from 24Sep to 10Nov, and seniors and kids enjoy free entry to Flower Dome! (Details here)

As it was the weekend for Mid Autumn Festival(中秋节), kids got to diy their own lanterns.

Every corner we turn, more Chrysanthemums sprang out to surprise us. Red, Gold, Purple, Pink and Yellow spread of Chrysanthemums!

Not only variety of colours, shapes too. There are more than 40 varieties of Chrysanthemums on display.

Outside the Flower Dome, lanterns of all sizes and shapes continue to fascinate visitors.
This is the Year of the Goats, but the whole safari has been brought to Gardens by the Bay!

My personal favourite should be 嫦娥 (Chang2 Er2).

As we walk towards Dragonfly Lake, Chameleon, Komodo dragons greeted us.

Even Dragonfly bridge looks especially charming with her arches of illumination.

But the highlights must be the bright and majestic floats (Dragonboats and Palace) on the lake.

Near the carpark, we love the colourful arches overhead. So vibrant and radiant.

Mid-Autumn Festival 2015 Promotion for Children
From 25 September to 4 October 2015, 5pm to 9pm daily, every child who brings along a lantern* will enjoy free admission to both conservatories.

SG50 Special – Free Admission for Seniors
In celebration of SG50, local seniors (aged 60 and above) can enjoy free entry into two conservatories. Accompanying caregivers of seniors can also enjoy 50% discount into two conservatories. Valid from 1 June to 31 December 2015.

Schedules to remember :
– Chrysanthemums celebrations ends on 10 Nov 9pm
– Mid-Autumn Lanterns (outdoor) will end this Sunday (04 Oct 11pm)
– There will be a firework on 03 Oct at 8pm

For kids who cannot do without fast food, McDonald (near to carpark) is enjoying brisk business.
