We brought Boon Xin to @eyecarestudio (Fernvale) f We brought Boon Xin to @eyecarestudio (Fernvale) for an eye check. Ronan was friendly and patient when he attended to us. He also shared with us on myopia control solutions, including @essilor Stellest® lenses which can slow down myopia progression by 67% on average compared to single vision lenses, when worn 12 hours a day.

She took less than two weeks to adjust to the new glasses, and now she is enjoying clear vision and the benefits of myopia control. It is recommended by Ronan for Boon Xin to go for regular eye checks every 6 months.

If you suspect your child to be short-sighted, I would recommend to bring your child down to @eyecarestudio for an eye check and learn more about @essilor Stellest® lenses!

Kyushu is underrated. Volcanoes and nature, plenty of local cuisines. Lesser crowd.

Nagasaki Bio Park is top3 on our trip itinerary. Many might skip as it it out of the way 🚌.

We were there for cabybara 🐹soaking in hot spring ♨️

YouTube https://youtu.be/TWanPKKD-QI

This zoo is open concept with plenty of interaction and feeding opportunities.
‘PAW’ petting section🐰🐶🐱🦉 can keep you busy for hours!

Last photo is near the popular Huis Ten Bosch resort. Train to Fukuoka.

. .Day 5 of 8D7N Kyushu 九州 Covered Atomic Bom . .Day 5 of 8D7N Kyushu 九州

Covered Atomic Bomb☢️ museum and Nagasaki Bio Park🐹 on day 5. Both are memorable 👍

YouTube https://youtu.be/TWanPKKD-QI

Many will remember Nagasaki (and Hiroshima) for Atomic bombs during WW2.

Museum and Peace Park showcase the horrors of war, bombs and radiation.

Families torn apart, humans vaporised.
Many folks died of thirst post bomb, as streams simply evaporated!

Many exhibits got to me, especially the poems. This museum is sobering.

Japanese are resilient💪
Peace to all 🙏

Photos in order:

1)Hypocenter of Atomic bomb explosion
2,3)Peace statue✌️
4)Paper cranes🕊️

5)Simulation of A bomb impact. All man-made structures flattened

6)Atomic bomb cross section
7)Poems for loved ones, anguish 🥲
8)A bombs around the world today🥺
9)Water above Memorial⛲️ Symbolic
10)Sombering thoughts

More food and activities and tips in this post. On average, we spend 10,000 to 15,000y ($150) per day (not including airfare & hotel).

YouTube https://youtu.be/TWanPKKD-QI
Photos in order:

1)Shortlisted Tokyo,Osaka before Kyushu🇯🇵
2)60% transactions on YouTrip. Small town atm withdrawal might have 50,000y cap💰

3)Didi and Uber apps are only available in bigger cities(not towns).

4)Love the quaint cafes in Japan. Nice beverages, artifacts(museum) and friendly hosts 🍮

5)Castella🍰& pork belly bun are famous in Nagasaki. So so only🤭 We could not find Kyushu pancake🥞 in Fukuoka

6)Yummy beef wagyu🐮
7)FirstCabin capsule ✈️

8)Rules are respected🤫 Snores and alarms how?

9)Cute K-car🚗 .One million yen each(not enough for COE🥺)

.Day 3 of 8D7N Kyushu
Kumamoto,Shimabara,Nagasaki

I actually prefer Nagasaki to Fukuoka.
City is pretty fusion of both Japanese and Western cultures.

YouTube https://youtu.be/TWanPKKD-QI
Photos in order:

1)Our hotel next to Kumamoto station
Not enough time to explore city

2)Walk around Kumamoto castle🏯. Kumamoto suffered from a serious earthquake in 2016. Many sites are still rebuilding.

3)Kumamoto is hometown of Kumamon🐻
4)Trams move the city 🚃

5)Hungry seagulls greeted our Ferry, Kumamoto to Shimabara 🐦

6)🐠Carps swim in some longkang in Shimabara

7) 🐶 Three Shibas were zzz (Google ‘Shimabara 3 Shiba Inu’)

8)Unagi at Isahaya b4 Shinkansen 🚅
9)Onsen with Nagasaki city view ♨️

10)Capsule hotel ✈️ (next to Chinatown)

. .Day 2 of 8D7N Kyushu Mount Aso is highlight of . .Day 2 of 8D7N Kyushu

Mount Aso is highlight of Kyushu. Beautiful countryside. Self-drive recommended(except winter), bus frequency can be every 60min. If you need a reliable and friendly guide(or private tour), ping me👍

YouTube https://youtu.be/TWanPKKD-QI (Photos link in IG comment below)

Photos in order:
1)Daikanbo⛰️Standing on volcano cauldron. Volcano activities sunk the ground and created valley below!

2)Horse meat croquette. Kumamoto is famous for sashimi🐴🐮(too exotic!)

3)Kusasenri(千里草)🌱pastures with dunes.
Love the alpine sceneries in Mt Aso as we drove around.

4)Komezuka baby volcano(Death Star?)

5)cute Amaterasu mini train. Old track, canyon, valley and tunnels🚂
6)Train experience better than row boat🫧

7)Takachiho Gorge is majestic. Forces of nature created waterway💦
8)And expensive boat ride 5100y🚣🏻‍♂️

9)Bye Zoro⚔️, bye Mt Aso
10)Dinner was garlic ramen🍜 Yummy
