煮炒 Zhi Char at Buangkok

When it comes to dinner, our kids can have Fried rice everyday, and never get sick of it.
Daddy suspect they have inherited his gene, as Daddy can eat Char Siew rice every day too !

Anyway, our regular 煮炒 (Zhi Char) stall is in Buangkok Block 275D, just outside Buangkok MRT. It is hard to find a Zhi Char stall which suits everyone’s tastebud.

Honey Sauce Pork Knuckle – $16

The braised trotter is not oily at all, we love the honey coated dish. We actually prefer the tender juicy skin more than the meat. (score 4.5/5)

Set meals are available, and we heard the crabs are famous too. Skip, as it is no fun to peel for the kids.
In our opinion, the prices are reasonable.

From the menu, the bigger photos must be the popular dishes right?

Brocoli and Scallop – $16

Normal for us, we need to choose a vegetable dish to balance our diet, so to speak.
We heard the crispy yam ring is recommended too (score 3/5).

One of the signature dish, Salted egg prawns – $16, $22, $28 (S, M, L)
Sweet and addictive but Daddy thought it can be too oily. Easy to overdose after the third prawn. (score 4/5)

However, our kids love the crunchy prawn and could never have enough.

Crispy Chicken with prawn paste – $16 (score 3/5)

Nothing special about this dish, maybe the skin is crispy which the kids love. The chicken goes well with the prawn paste, but some might find the combination too sweet.

There is only one complain from us. We happen to be allocated to a table which is exposed to sunset. It was not a memorable moment to eat and perspire at the same time.

富利海鲜 (Fu2 Li4) is at Buangkok 275D, and we will rate the overall experience as 3.5/5.
If you have 煮炒 stalls to recommend in North East area, please share with us.

Meanwhile, Daddy might need to research the Ch8 煮炒来咯 series again.
