Christmas at USS

Hello Santa, we spend a magical Christmas at USS (Universal Studios Singapore) last Sat.

The streets of New York and Hollywood are decked in festive colours. Characters are dressed in their Christmas best.

We look forward to the hourly snow at Hollywood and New York.

The night lights look especially enchanting.

Pretty illumination casted onto New York Library.

“Fairytale Remix” Gingerbread and Snowman are cute and brings out the festive mood.

Map and Itinerary. We head down to USS around 4pm, when we know the crowd will be smaller. During this festive period, USS rides will run until 9pm yes!

For first timers, we will recommend “Sesame Street Saves Christmas Show“.

For those with younger kids looking for “Character Meet & Greets”, go earlier or you will miss the photo opportunity. I am still waiting for that photo with Shrek and Fiona 🙂

Even Canopy Flyer queue is less than 20 minutes!

Talking about rides, we manage to score a few firsts at USS this round. Whole family survived “Revenge of the Mummy”, but Mommy mention this is the one and only time haha 🙂

Battlestar Galactica (Human) tested my nerve. I am amazed how they packed so much twists and dips on such a small footprint. I chicken out of Cylon after witnessing the upside down twists!

Fairytale Shrek 4D never fail to tickle our funny bones. Little porker and Pinocchio and we just love to be tortured by Lord Farquaad.

Highlight for us is “A Hollywood Christmas Gift Show”. Toy Soldiers, Madagascar penguins rock the stage, but the Minions are overwhelming favourites 🙂 Banana!

Puss in Boots USS review

It is no longer a rumour, Puss in Boots (Giant) is in operation at Universal Studios Singapore (USS)!
Just look at those huge adorable innocent eyes.

And so the story goes…

Hold on, before the story unfolds, we can already feel Puss’s presence all over Universal Studios.

At the Far Far Away themed zone, the Giant’s Castle sits ruined, entwined within a giant beanstalk. The quest, nine lives in the making, begins here as Puss In Boots and Kitty Softpaws go in search of the precious golden eggs in a bid to save San Ricardo’s Orphanage, which has fallen on hard times.

Puss in Boots USS ride will bring visitors round and up the castle before visitors experience a mild sensation dashing down the carriage.

This must be how Jack felt when he dashed down the beanstalk, running away from the Giant.

I would recommend this ride for someone who has yet to experience a roller coaster ride before. The “Golden eggs, Puss, Softpaws and Mother Goose will help to distract the kids from their fear of heights. Carriage can accommodate up to 9 people, so the whole family can enjoy a little thrill together.
