Our kids love pizza.
When Ricciotti invited us to their “Piccolo Chefs” pizza making class, we could not reject the invitation.
It should be a nice experience to make our own dough and bake our own pizza. To cut a long story short, over one hour and with a few steps, we get to enjoy our delicious pizzas.
1) Making dough, just add floor and roll it flat.
2) Add tomato to the dough
3) Sprinkle more cheese please, then baking starts.
4) After 10 minutes, we could smell the aromatic Pizzas from the ovens.
Enjoying our fruit of labour, and our pizza taste great too!
Congratulations to Boon Yee and Boon Xin, they (and every kids) present got a certificate too. This mean their “food” is safe to consume :p
While kids are busy at work (or messing around), parents are busy taking photos, marveling at our kids culinary traits.
Cheeky Boon Xin taking a peep, before proceeding to play with her dough. She is not following Chef Gero’s instructions!
They sure know how to have Fun!
When the Chef turns his back around, the siblings started throwing flour at each other’s dough!
While waiting for their pizzas to be ready, everyone line up orderly to receive their balloons.
Daddy is not the only proud parent who gobbled down the tasty pizzas on Children’s Day. We are all proud of our kids’ achievements, and our own DIY pizza still taste the best 🙂
Thank you Ricciotti and Chef Gero for inviting us to Piccolo Chefs pizza making class.
On our way back, the fun loving kids hope onto a Tuk Tuk.

Busy parents can always reward ourselves with a lazy weekend brunch, and SengkangBabies found a quiet corner at 31 Ah Hood Road (HomeTeamNS-JOM). Fix Cafe has a cozy alfresco poolside setting and they serve delicious food.
Wait, there is a great variety of desserts and milkshakes too!
All of us gave the thumbs-up for Fix Cafe’s delicious chicken drumlets!
Quiet corner in Balestier, until SengkangBabies rattle the peace !
In between soy drumlets and soothing milkshakes, kids enjoy the slide and more water play.
(Chilli Cheese Fries $7)
Kids really know how to entertain themselves, we love all the milk shake, especially the chocolate flavour!
The pool is always on our kids’ mind, while Mummy and Daddy are keen to indulge in Fix Cafe’s gourmet dishes.
Did we mention Fix Cafe is proud of their original hand made goods?
(Brunch FIX $12, rated 3.5/5)
We can have this for our weekend brunch by the pool, consisting of homemade brioche, turkey ham, scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms and a side salad. Daddy love the fluffy texture of the bread.
We could not stop pinching on the cheese flakes.
(3-Cheese Penne Gratin $10, 4/5)
Truly for cheese lovers! The caramalised surface, the layers of cheese has all gel together. Kids and adults will all enjoy this sweet treat.
(Crispy Soy-Glazed Drumlets $7, 4/5)
Trust us, you need to order two servings of these drumlets, Daddy thought they are even better than 4Fingers’. Crunchy, juicy and flavourable, these drumlets are very addictive!
(Fish & Chips $12, 3.5/5)
Not sure where to start feasting as all the food looks so inviting!
(Naanwiches $10, overall experience 3.75/5)
Naanwiches (interesting name) is one of Fix Cafe’s signatures. Imagine fushion gourmet, notice the achar (pickled vegetables), kimchi and bouncy egg yolk! We definitely have not seen traditional Naan being used as a sandwich before.
Bold combination, just wrap everything up in your Nann and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavour. Daddy enjoyed the wholesome Naanwiches which are packed with fresh vegetables and mushrooms.
Chicken Tikka Naanwich (3.5/5)
(Beef & Kimchi Naanwich, 4/5)
The Kim Chi goes very well with the beef!
Our recommendation is to order a few Naanwiches to go round the table.
Video : The kids enjoy smashing the Nannwiches’ bouncy egg yolk
We saw group of friends who were at Fix Cafe just for the desserts and artisan coffee.
Do savour their special milk shakes too. Indulgent, refreshing and cooling 🙂
We were really full after trying the wide spread of dishes, but Maureen insisted we need to try their signature cakes and pastries!
(Twice-baked Sourcream Cheesecake $7, 3.5/5)
Yummy cheesecake, the kids can never have enough cheese.
(Butterscotch Arabica Choux $6, 3.5/5)
(Strawberry Pistachio Rose Tart $6, 3/5)
Too sour for us.
(Passionfruit, Mango & Coconut Chiffon Cake $7, 4.25/5)
Mummy and Daddy’s favourite dessert, refreshing fruits and the chiffon simply melted in our mouth. The way to enjoy this dessert is to scoop (downward slice) all the layers together.
(Cacao Berry Chocolate Truffle Cake $7, 3.75/5)
There was no surprise when we ask kids to identify their favourite cake.
