Brunch at FIX Cafe

[ Media Invite ]

Busy parents can always reward ourselves with a lazy weekend brunch, and SengkangBabies found a quiet corner at 31 Ah Hood Road (HomeTeamNS-JOM). Fix Cafe has a cozy alfresco poolside setting and they serve delicious food.

Wait, there is a great variety of desserts and milkshakes too!
All of us gave the thumbs-up for Fix Cafe’s delicious chicken drumlets!

Quiet corner in Balestier, until SengkangBabies rattle the peace !

In between soy drumlets and soothing milkshakes, kids enjoy the slide and more water play.

(Chilli Cheese Fries $7)

Kids really know how to entertain themselves, we love all the milk shake, especially the chocolate flavour!

The pool is always on our kids’ mind, while Mummy and Daddy are keen to indulge in Fix Cafe’s gourmet dishes.

Did we mention Fix Cafe is proud of their original hand made goods?

(Brunch FIX $12, rated 3.5/5)
We can have this for our weekend brunch by the pool, consisting of homemade brioche, turkey ham, scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms and a side salad. Daddy love the fluffy texture of the bread.

We could not stop pinching on the cheese flakes.

(3-Cheese Penne Gratin $10, 4/5)
Truly for cheese lovers! The caramalised surface, the layers of cheese has all gel together. Kids and adults will all enjoy this sweet treat.

(Crispy Soy-Glazed Drumlets $7, 4/5)
Trust us, you need to order two servings of these drumlets, Daddy thought they are even better than 4Fingers’. Crunchy, juicy and flavourable, these drumlets are very addictive!

(Fish & Chips $12, 3.5/5)

Not sure where to start feasting as all the food looks so inviting!

(Naanwiches $10, overall experience 3.75/5)

Naanwiches (interesting name) is one of Fix Cafe’s signatures. Imagine fushion gourmet, notice the achar (pickled vegetables), kimchi and bouncy egg yolk! We definitely have not seen traditional Naan being used as a sandwich before.

Bold combination, just wrap everything up in your Nann and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavour. Daddy enjoyed the wholesome Naanwiches which are packed with fresh vegetables and mushrooms.

Chicken Tikka Naanwich (3.5/5)

(Beef & Kimchi Naanwich, 4/5)
The Kim Chi goes very well with the beef!

Our recommendation is to order a few Naanwiches to go round the table.

We saw group of friends who were at Fix Cafe just for the desserts and artisan coffee.
Do savour their special milk shakes too. Indulgent, refreshing and cooling 🙂

We were really full after trying the wide spread of dishes, but Maureen insisted we need to try their signature cakes and pastries!

(Twice-baked Sourcream Cheesecake $7, 3.5/5)
Yummy cheesecake, the kids can never have enough cheese.

(Butterscotch Arabica Choux $6, 3.5/5)

(Strawberry Pistachio Rose Tart $6, 3/5)
Too sour for us.

(Passionfruit, Mango & Coconut Chiffon Cake $7, 4.25/5)
Mummy and Daddy’s favourite dessert, refreshing fruits and the chiffon simply melted in our mouth. The way to enjoy this dessert is to scoop (downward slice) all the layers together.

(Cacao Berry Chocolate Truffle Cake $7, 3.75/5)
There was no surprise when we ask kids to identify their favourite cake.
