Justice League Run superheroes!

I was supposed to run as Batman at Justice League Run 2015, but I was out of town.
Mummy stood up and took my place, as Flash!

Heroes and villains, cheerleaders encouraged runners along the 5km route.

Earlier on, I had some reservations, what if kids fall or worse got lost etc?
I kept emphasizing to them to stay together, leave no one behind.

My boys proved that they are mature enough to handle 5km run, and look after each other at the same time. They need no Superman, Batman or Wonderwoman to provide inspirations.
The boys can count on each other for moral support and motivation.

Mummy told me they ran non-stop to the end, completing 5km race in under 45 minutes. Bravo!

Boon Xin on the other hand, needs more running workshops. Our girl has put on some weight, and she struggled to keep up with Mummy hee hee. Everyone managed to link up at the finishing point πŸ™‚

All are champions in my eyes. Proud of the kids. Proud of Mummy. They are all Superheroes in my eyes!

Sometimes, the only way to let the kids grow, is to let go (放手). Justice League Run just reinforced how much my kids have matured and are now independent.

Father’s Day – achievement unlocked

Since becoming a Dad, every action and plan we had was always centered around the kids.
This Father’s Day weekend, I have unlocked another achievement, Boon Xin is now 90% confident of handling a bike.

Yeah! This means we can indulge in our family outing on wheels around the neighbourhood.

Our weekend was a bit more special thanks to their cake and toys πŸ™‚

Dads love Nerf Guns too, not only kids. They were grumpy when I ask whether I can own the Crossbolt gift from Hasbro wahaha. Hasbro knew I was the underdog during our last Nerfgun war at Sengkang.

Lego, Ninja = Ninjago. Lego always offer a Fun opportunity for parents and kids to bond. (From now till 28 June, pop by Raffles City Atrium for some Lego Fun)

To me, Father’s Day is just another day, Fatherhood need not be about Fun and excitement, and I do not expect anything in return. I just hope to be there for the kids when they need me.

Many Dads out there are performing their duty silently, I belong to the group who show their love and affection through their actions, not hugs or kisses.

This Father’s Day, while we celebrate, do spare a moment for the Dads who lose their child in the recent Sabah earthquake. Words cannot express the anguish of losing a child.
