We participated in Shape Run 2016’s family category last week. It is only 1.8km and we were running with our new Skechers footwear.
Earlier, we had arrive at around 0730. Although we can still sport the moon, the 15km and 10km runners had already set off.
The “before” photo, happy to see many families with enthusiastic kids. We only brought Boon Yee and Boon Xin along as the two older kids might find 1.8km too relaxing. Browse our running stories here.
And the race starts, our 1.8km pursuit. Slow and easy for Boon Yee and Boon Xin with Marina Bay as the backdrop.
Running requires discipline, but we can always make time for family photos 🙂
After the halfway point, we had to encourage Boon Xin to carry on running. Life has been good for her in primary school, and she has put on some weight 🙂
We literally need to pull her over the finishing line hee hee 🙂
Well done kids, I must bring Boon Xin out for more sports 🙂

A short review about our shoes. The kids’ shoes are light and colourful, we can use them for sports or just casual outdoor activities (Swirly Girl-Shine Vibe for her, and Burst-Power Sprints for him).
GORUN Ride 5 for me and Mrs. I have not taken the shoes for 10km runs yet, but I am happy with the lightweight material and cushioning. Perhaps shoe is still new, or is it the design of the sole, I can feel the grip on rainy days too.
