Car Free Sunday Singapore is cool!

We want to join the next Car Free Sunday Singapore Singapore event!
That very much sums up the Fun that we had on Sunday morning πŸ™‚

After all, how often do we get to cycle under F1 route, floating platform, Anderson bridge, or even Singapore’s Business District.

Setting off at 6am was a struggle (getting the kids off their beds!), we drove towards Gardens By The Bay before cycling leisurely towards Padang area.

Blue sky, windy condition, we cycle past the usual tourist spots (take note no cycling in Gardens by the Bay)

Before we reach the venue, you can already feel a sense of anticipation. Every jogger and cyclist around the area seem to be heading in the same direction, everyone wish to experience a car free weekend.

We even caught a sneak peep of the Sun rising from behind the Flyer (and MBS).

Car Free CBD and Padang yeah! I am sure all the cyclists and joggers would agree too!
No need to stop for Red light too, Freedom!

Our convoy of six bikes took us around the central business district, down Fullerton and Robinson road, we could even stop in the middle for some selfie (safety first). Kids would try to pedal faster to catch up with biker who has poodles in his basket!

No ERP today, feels so good to see so many pedestrians and cyclists occupying the lanes. Families and friends were all smiling πŸ™‚

Cycling like kings on the road, feels like the road belong to our ε•Šε…¬ (Grandpa)!

A special shoutout to the marshals and cheerleaders, #CarFreeSundaySg would not have been so successful without all the volunteers πŸ™‚

There were a lot of family friendly activities at the fringe. Nparks’ “Cycling clinic” was interesting for the little ones, “Slowest win” (About balancing) and they did some donuts too :p

After about two hours, we headed back home. Kids were unanimous in their response when I ask them whether they want to wake up super early to cycle again πŸ™‚
Cycling in CBD

This is Singapore’s first Car Free Sunday, and we hope it will be extended indefinitely. A good avenue for families to do sports together.

Kids might only relate the cycling event to fun, but I wish to encourage all road and park users to respect one another, we can all co-exist. Sometimes, a simple give-and-take will make everyone happy.

I had to spend 30 minutes just to mount the bikes, and another 20 to dismount, but the effort is worth it. I had to squeeze 3 bikes in boot and another 3 on our bicycle rack.

I need to remind myself to take less photos, kids were annoyed that I keep disturbing their cycling haha!
Meanwhile, three cheers to the next Car Free Sunday Singapore πŸ™‚

MOSH Digital playground

[ Media Invite ]

What was impressive for me was kids can doodle everything and their drawings come alive after some MOSH! digital processing (scanning!)
IMAG3109

MOSH! is Singapore’s first immersive edutainment facility, and there are five zones at Mosh! At the entrance, our little participants will hear story about Mosh!cots and how their dreams were eaten by Baku (the purple one).
Mosh Digital

If you kids love imagination, drawing, hitech animation and technology, MOSH! will keep them entertained.

Colour your Moji and Momo, scan them at World of Wonder Paper App and watch them fly around the projected screen. “That rainbow colour is mine, your one no name”, kids had fun trying to identify their own cartoon characters.

We have seen fireworks at New Year countdown and National Day, how about directing your own fireworks and stardust!
Mosh Singapore

At Fireworks Party, kids just need to jump or wave and different explosive creations will illuminate the “horizon”.

Doodle Aquarium was the kids’ favourite section. They can draw all sorts of sea creatures ( octopus, turtles and even bunnies) and let them swim in the Sea (fish tank). I love my shark (or barracuda) which went chomping up the kids’ characters :p

Very soon, they were crowding the “fishtank” with multiples of every drawing haha!

My favourite cartoon got to be Boon Yee’s sweet family of six! I think he loves a big family too πŸ™‚

Mosh!cot Hide and Seek Table. Simply put your hand (or wallet or hand phone) on the table surface. Voila, a Mosh Digital “character” will emerge from behind the cloud! Catch him before he disappears πŸ™‚

1, 2, 3 THROW! at Paper Plane Adventure, your paper aeroplanes will transform into animated planes when they hit the wall, pretty cool!
mosh interactions

You can aim your paper plane at the dinosaurs, or try to dispatch a huge Jumbo jet yourself.
When we run out of aeroplanes, paper rock will do too πŸ™‚

We love MOSH! edutainment concept of kids’ imagination and technology. The features provided a lot of opportunities for interaction for kids, and parents too.

However, we felt the admission fees for adults ($28, and child $22) is on the high side.

– Get the latest updates about Mosh! from their website and Facebook, and Video link
– MOSH! is located in same building as Kidzania, nearest carpark is Beach Station
