We love Ikea’s kids friendly displays and we never forget to end our trip with their signature Swedish meatballs, chicken wings, or ice cream cones. The Nasi Brani (halal) set meal is value for money and delicious too.
Last Sat, we were at Ikea for a different reason, we were invited to a Robot building session ! Ikea wish to promote family bonding and fun through some group activities.
To quote from Ikea :

After we say Hello to our friendly Ikea droid, we got down to work.
Materials and props were prepared in advanced for us, so we only need to milk our creative juice. Who can pass Daddy the scissor, tape, and Uhu glue?
The smaller kids were more interested in doodling, rather than helping Daddy construct his robot. Fortunately, we got two friendly “teachers” from Artz Graine to guide us.
With Ikea’s “Make a friend” theme, kids say hello to each other, our robots and even the rag dolls! Kelvin (Cheekiemonkie) and Ai (Ai Sakura) busy at work.

We are all proud of the kids’ Robots.
Daddy hope you can tell ours is a humble purple Robot, arts and craft is not really his forte. We added the elongated rabbit ears since the kids love our neighbour’s bunnies.
We call it “My Robot” since we are bad at naming too haha 🙂

After the session ended, Daddy thought he could bring the kids to Smales world again, but the wait was easily an hour plus.
Boon Yee and Boon Xin had enjoyed their Smales exploration in an earlier session.

From 28 Oct onwards, you can register online for Ikea’s “Make a Friend Contest“(diy Robot) session on 23 Nov. There will be 5 sessions of 30 parent-child teams.
