Once exams are done, we might just hop over to Austin Heights Water Adventure Park to destress again.
Look at the kids, all young and adventurous, all of them posing in front of Yellow Wall.

You can ice skate and trampoline jump at Austin Heights & Adventure Park too. How many activities are they trying to squeeze into this complex?

大舅’s family will swim with us today. Are you ready for some thrills or to beat the heat?

Kids are wondering why Water Park so quiet haha. Feels like we had the pools and slides to ourselves 🙂

Please tell me this view is enchanting, for a moment, we forgot we are standing on a platform 5 or 6 storeys high.

The vast area around Taman Mount Austin is still quite undeveloped.

If your kiddos are adrenalin junkies, “Yellow Wall and SuperSurf” will keep them occupied whole day 🙂
Gif of “Yellow Wall” does not look scary or steep, but trust me when I tell you that dingy feels like overturning anytime haha!

(Tip: Scream or laugh, it does help to reduce anxiety haha!)

“SuperSurf”, challenge each other and see who wins. Six to go. (Tip: to go fast, lay low)

“Splash World” for the little ones, the bucket of water is complimentary. This playground is where kids play catcher.

“Lazy River” is a wet and fun way to relax, but with our kids around, the currents will be turbulent :p
“Wave Pool” is fun too, ride the waves on your floats (not in photo)

Steps are steep and tall, floats are heavy. A porter parent will be helpful. (hint hint to the Dads)

Prince 33, comfortable stay with walking distance to good food (all around). We will not hesitate to recommend Prince 33 to our friends.

*updated 2019 – Prince 33 might not be so desirable now. The Hotel stay is still decent, but you will not find parking lots anymore due to explosion of activities in Mount Austin

Adults (12 and above) – RM 118
Child (3 to 12) – RM 98

People will compare between Austin Heights Water Park or Legoland Waterpark.
a) Price-wise very similar
b) I would say Legoland is more suitable for the smaller kids, whereas Austin Heights are for bigger kids and teenagers (Read our Legoland review here)
c) Grab the combo-tickets for more value added experience

Additional tips :
– Food and snacks are not allowed inside the water park, but the canteen does serve decent Nasi Lemak and finger food (reasonably priced).
– Lockers (two sizes) are available for full day rental (unlimited)
– Hide your GoPro well, staff have strict orders to stop your GoPro-selfie down the tubes

– Austin Heights Water Adventure Park is just 5 min walk from Prince 33 hotel

We were invited to try some Wing Zone chicken wings at Buangkok recently.
Chicken wings and drumlets, how can we resist 🙂

You will see the term “buffalo” as Wing Zone is a USA brand. Our Muslim friends will be happy to know that Wing Zone is certified Halal.

The first step is to choose your entrees (Wings, drumsticks or burgers).
Menu indicates 6 pieces wings (1 flavor), 12 piece wings (2 flavors).

Can we ask for more flavors please 🙂

Second step would be harder, you need to guess which flavors (aka seasoning) to go with your entrees 🙂
There are total 15 Flavors!

Infact, the 15 flavors are always a mystery, first time customers might need some guidance from Wing Zone crew, in order to select the right sauce or bite. Asians would be familiar with Honey Q, Smokin Q and Thai Chili.

Our friendly owner Johnny mentioned that customers are not supposed to like all the flavors :p
Some like sweetness, spiciness, and not many can take the sour (eg dip blue cheese).

..but customers are always encouraged to be adventurous.

Once the food is served, tuck away. Each basket will be labelled with the “Flavor”.
The fun part about dining together is we get to order more varieties, dip into different flavors.

Yummy Smoking Q (picture below). This is almost as savoury as our Honey Q wings (which I did not have a chance to photo before they were reduced to bones!)

No wonder Honey Q is Wing Zone’s most popular flavor.

Look at the glistening skin, there are no preservatives in the wings! No msg-induced dryness after feasting.
Everything is freshly prepared each day, just bake slightly and serve.

“Sweet and Spicy” flavors are more attuned to Asia’s tastebud. Traditional American wings are more sour.
Succulent Thai Chili (2 chilies), slightly sweet but more spicy than Mango Fire (3 chilies). We suspect maybe Mango’s spicy effect kicks in later.

If there is chili, Boon Wee will be our taster. He will help us compare which flavor is more spicy. We did not attempt the (4 chilies) Nuclear Habanero!

We will recommend you to try the less spicy flavors first, otherwise your lips and tastebud will be numb after the spicier wings.

Blackened Voodoo (dry rub) is a tad too dry for us, we still prefer the juicy “wet” seasonings.

Garlic Parm, the only basket which we cannot finish.

Wedges crispy outside, yet soft bite inside, chewy and crunchy. Surprisingly addictive, we have not tasted this texture before.

Wing Zone’s warm brownies might not look instagram worthy, but you cannot stop popping these small chocolate cubes. Mozzarella Stix was too chewy and sticky for us, whereas tenders are pretty normal.

Be it Family packs (for parties) or Cheeky poppers (indulgence), Wing Zone will have something for everyone.

Do take note Buangkok Wing Zone might have limited seating space.
Catering and delivery must be a popular option, looking at the endless dispatches.
