Food Revolution Day, Singapore

On 19 May 2012, the Jamie Oliver Foundation will launch its first-ever Food Revolution Day, a global day of action to inspire, educate and empower people everywhere to stand up for real food.

  • What: Food Revolution Day Dinner Party
  • When: 19th May 2012, 4:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Where: The Lawn, Biopolis Way

In Singapore, a group of passionate food lovers, are putting their heads together and organizing Food Revolution Day. This is an attempt to help spread awareness about the importance of what goes into our food.

Why we’re starting a revolution
These days, the majority of the world’s population is more likely to die from obesity than from hunger. In fact, in America, more people die from diet-related diseases every year than drugs, alcohol, and war combined.

That’s why we want to inspire change in people’s food habits and to promote the mission for better food and education for everyone.

You can expect to see cooking demos, food photography and healthcare talks.
We will be looking forward to catch up with our food blogger friends.

Hello to Ms Tam Chiak, Derrick, Ms Lobster and Melissa 🙂

Food bloggers are a special breed of people, besides taking awesome make-you-hungry pictures, their vocabulary is very powerful. They can use 10 words to describe cheese, when Daddy can only say cheese is “sweet or sour” wahaha (get it?)

Oh, and food bloggers are mostly fun people who love to share their photography and culinary insights. Everybody is welcome, come down with your family, kids, and friends.
Have fun, eat healthy and simply ENJOY the day 🙂
