Last week, we pop over to Johor Desaru (迪沙鲁) for a short stint. In Desaru, there are two famous resorts, Lotus and Pulai. We stayed 3D2N at the former.
Above photo, Wei and his ostrich brood. Nobody is hiding their heads under the sand :p
With the new bridge (E22 expressway), we can drive to Desaru from Woodlands Causeway in around 45min.
Some will choose to take the ferry from Changi Ferry Terminal to Pengerang. Click for more travel options.
Fast forward, we checked in smoothly, Christmas is in the air.
There are three swimming pools and the seaside for every waterFun junkie. We heard so much about Lotus Desaru’s lazy river.
Seafood galore ! Lobsters, Prawns, Lala. Sedup ! No one is counting the calories.
Try Rhu Bar for their Penang fare and friendly staff. This F&B outlet faces the sea and serves decent Penang Char Kway Teow and desserts. Yes, Cendol and Ice Kachang too. We miss Penang !
Kids got use to their taxi. As Lotus is HUGH, we need to take the shuttle service from our block to breakfast venue. We all know the kids enjoy their joyride :p
We visited some farms around Desaru. The popular spots would be Fruit Farm, Crocodile, Ostrich and Fireflies. Too bad no Durian buffet 🙁
Kids love the mini Zoo behind Fruit farm. Kids will enjoy feeding the goats and playing “catching” with the rabbits !
Lotus with it’s Resort style architecture. Team building games are sometimes conducted on the open field. Fiesta.
Desaru is also known as the “The Village of Casuarinas”.
There you have it, our 3D2N summary. Please be patient as we divulge more Fun adventures 🙂
